‘Leaders are not born but are made by their experience in life.”

To inculcate the leadership qualities in the students and to give them a feel of functioning of administrative body, the school prefectorial board was formed.

The Investiture Cermony for the academic year 2022-23 was held on 30th April 2022. The Chief Guest for the event was Mr Jayakumar Palaniswamy an Old Georgian.

The cermony began with the processional hymn ‘The Church’s One Foundation’ to which the nominated students marched in along with our Principal Mr Everett, our Chief Guest Mr Jayakumar Palaniswamy, the Chairman of the Board of Management Mr wood and our Headmaster Mr Nelthropp, followed by the lighting of the candle by the Chief Guest and prayer by Rev Arun Thilagam.

The Principal Mr Everett, honoured the students with the respective posts and badged them along with the Chief Guest, after administrating the oath.

In his address, the Chief Guest Mr Jayakumar appreciated the efforts of the for providing opportunities to the students to take part in activities like this. He also congratulated the newly appointed school prefectorial board for their preparedness to take up the responsibility bestowed upon them. He asked them to use these opportunities and balance them well with their academics to excel in both.

Mr Wood, the Chairman of the board of management also advised the perfects to do their best and uphold the morals of the school.

Our Principal Mr Everett, encouraged all the prefects to uphold the oath they had taken, and not to use the post for their benefits but to lead the juniors by example.

It was a great day with all the parents of the newly elected prefects along with the staff of Laidlaw wishing them all the best for the year ahead.
