Residential Accommodation

The ‘Cottage system’ is followed in the School, where several large cottages accommodate the children in residence. There are eight such Cottages housing children of various age groups.

Campus Life

Laidlaw Memorial School and Junior College houses most of its classrooms in the main school building built in 1923. The number of students in each class is purposely kept to an optimum so that teachers can pay individual attention to students.

Catering Department

A Mess Committee has been formed by the Principal which includes students, teachers and matrons. Meetings are conducted every month to decide on the menu.

Laboratories

Hospital

The School has a well-equipped hospital and a dispensary. There is a fully qualified Nurse in charge of the Hospital, and the treatment of patients is prescribed by a daily visiting Doctor and visiting Dentist.

Sports

The school has a beautiful 224 acre campus with plenty of scope to have fields for various outdoor activities. The school possesses several pitches named after benefactors or former Principals – some of the pitches are

Musical Treat

Music is actively taught on campus and students are encouraged to take the Examination in the Theory and Practice of Music of the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music, London.

Auditorium

The OGA Indoor Stadium is a 17,000 sq ft covered structure abutting the dining hall – it serves several purposes – it houses two indoor basketball courts with gallery, while it also serves as a covered all-weather venue for school functions.
